Compiling on Cell / PS3
On Linux-driven Systems, not only with exotic architecture, where using not only GCC it’s necessary to give flags like CC, CXX and F77 to the configure-process. It also prevents from getting gray hair when not forgetting LD On the PS3s we got here ( with Debian ) there are another bunch of tools delivered by the SDK from IBM. So here’s a list wich maybe saves time and anger.
AR=ppu-ar AS=ppu-as CC=ppu-gcc CXX=ppu-g++ F77=ppu-gfortran LD=ppu-ld NM=ppu-nm OBJCOPY=ppu-objcopy OBJDUMP=ppu-objdump RANLIB=ppu-ranlib READELF=ppu-readelf STRIP=ppu-strip
There are a lot more, but these are the most important from my side. The lucky thing is that all stat with “ppu-”, so it’s not heavy to find the others
